This is the Haunted Forest's first year being open to the public and it is very well done. You probably won't have the wits scared out of you but it is certainly worth checking out. Their hayride is very extensive, running a good 25 mins, with a bunch of scenes along the way. You can also opt for a hearse ride which follows the same trail but is a bit scarier. There is interaction but no lines are crossed which is great--you can tell that the scare actors are told to be careful when dealing with you--you will be touched but I don't think anyone will be made to feel uncomfortable by it (there is even a fun scene where you get to dance with evil clowns haha). All of the workers are incredibly nice and I def recommend giving them a try:)

I traveled 30+ minutes to go here and it was well worth the drive and the money!! I am 26 years old, and I don't scare too easy but these guys definitely got me. The hayride was fun and full of cool and unique effects. The house was huge and definitely heart stopping, and the Hearst completely will catch you off guard. If you don't like to be scared or enjoy some good fun don't attend this site, go to the nys fair activities. The operators are courtesy, want feedback, and fully disclose everythin. So enjoy it!! Kudos on a job well done.

Went to the haunted forest last night, and was not what I was expecting or hoping for. Scare factor ranks very low. The haunted house is a guided tour through a few scenes where you watch a story rather than being scared by monsters lurking in the dark. I would also suggest taking the hay ride over the hearse for any group with more than 2 people. 5 of us adults crammed ourselves onto the floor in the back of the hearse where it uncomfortable and impossible for 3 of us to see any of the scenes outside that mat have made the ride worthwhile. Monsters occasionally opened the doors, said a quick line and slammed the door shut. This attraction would be good for families but for adults looking for a good scare I would try somewhere else.
